Hacker brings down libraries' computer systems

ABC7Chicago.com: "A computer hacker tapped into a network that serves nearly two dozen suburban library districts, snarling their electronic catalog systems and leaving some librarians to record check-outs with pen and paper.
Arlington Heights-based Cooperative Computer Services, which serves 21 libraries in the north and northwest suburbs, earlier this month noticed a breach in the computer server used to catalog and check out material, administrator Richard Shurman said. "
